So if you are planning an open house, its best to send the animals to a pet hotel or a friends house for the day.

Start packing up some of your stuff and put it in storage before you start showing your home. Take all the family pictures down and any other personal keepsakes. Not only will this de-personalize your home, but it will also make it seem larger with less stuff in it. 10. Always Be Ready
You never know when a prospective buyer could walk through your front door. They could be strolling the neighborhood, see the sign and walk right up to your doorstep. You have to be ready when they show up so you don't miss out on a great prospective buyer. Make sure your house is constantly in tip top shape, meaning no dirty dishes in the sink or dirty laundry lying around. It may seem like you are constantly cleaning, but it'll be worth it when your house sells.
